Storage Strategy
Video files are large. 4K H.264 at 100Mbps fills 45GB per hour of footage. 4K RAW from a mirrorless camera can hit 1TB in a day of shooting. Plan your storage accordingly:
- Fast NVMe for active projects (what you're currently editing)
- Large HDD or secondary SSD for recent project archive
- External HDD for completed project backup — store this at a different location
Losing a finished project to a drive failure because you had no backup is a painful lesson no creator should have to learn.
Internet Connection and Upload
