Keep the original box and foam for at least 30 days. If you need to return the system for warranty service, it must be shipped in the original packaging.
Nigeria's power grid is unpredictable. Spikes and brownouts are the leading cause of premature component failure.
If you have an inverter, check that it outputs a pure sine wave. Modified sine wave inverters can cause PSU instability and buzzing in audio equipment.
If the system powers on but the display remains black for more than 30 seconds, check that your monitor cable is connected to the GPU (lower rear panel), not the motherboard's HDMI port. This is the most common first-boot issue.
Your system ships with BIOS settings pre-configured. You should not need to enter the BIOS unless you are enabling XMP/EXPO RAM profiles. To enter BIOS:
XMP/EXPO enables your RAM to run at its advertised speed (e.g., DDR5-5600). Without it, RAM defaults to JEDEC base speed. Enabling it improves memory-intensive workloads — Blender, DaVinci Resolve, game streaming.
Run Windows Update before installing any other software. Critical security patches and driver foundations ship through Windows Update.
Install the software that matches your primary use case. All recommendations below are the industry standard for each discipline.
Windows 11 ships with Microsoft Defender — it is sufficient for most users and does not require a paid antivirus subscription.
powercfg.cpl → Enter.Configure your GPU control panel for maximum performance in your use case.
wmic diskdrive get status. All drives should return OK.Never use a household vacuum to clean inside the case — static discharge from plastic vacuum nozzles can damage components. Only use compressed air cans or an ESD-safe anti-static blower.
