The most common question we get is some version of: "How much will this cost me?" It's a fair question, and most shops dodge it. Here's our complete, transparent breakdown of custom PC costs in Nigeria in 2026 — component by component, tier by tier.
Before the numbers: all prices below are Sephora's own current catalogue prices (accessed August 2026), not market estimates. Component prices still move with the dollar exchange rate — when the naira weakens, prices go up. We'll flag which components are most dollar-sensitive. Updated 2026-08-19: this page has now been corrected twice. It originally carried prices from an earlier point in the catalogue's history, which were too low. The 2026-08-12 correction fixed that but overshot — it was calculated from a working document carrying a doubled margin, putting every figure 10% high and graphics cards 15% high. Every figure below is now pulled directly from the pricing engine our configurator quotes from, and is checked against it automatically rather than by hand. If you priced a build from this page between 12 and 19 August, it quoted you above what we would have charged.
The Foundation: CPU + Motherboard
These two must be compatible (same socket), so they're priced together. One representative real pairing per tier:

These are highly dollar-sensitive — a 10% naira depreciation moves this pair by tens of thousands of naira at every tier.
RAM
- 8GB DDR4-3200 — ₦79,993 (acceptable only for very basic office use)
- 16GB DDR4-3200 — ₦160,007 (minimum for gaming or any creative work)
- 32GB DDR5-5600 — ₦779,992 (recommended for most users; a DDR4 32GB kit exists at ₦319,992 for older-platform builds)
- 64GB DDR5-5600 — ₦1,560,006 (workstations, Revit, heavy Blender)
Always buy two matching sticks (dual-channel). One large stick is worse than two smaller sticks at the same price.
Storage (SSD)
Figures below are for PCIe 4.0 NVMe — the generation matters for price, since a PCIe 5.0 drive at the same capacity costs meaningfully more:

Skip HDDs for your primary drive. An SSD makes every task feel faster — Windows boots in 10 seconds, not 90.
GPU (Graphics Card)
The most expensive single component, and the most dollar-sensitive:

- GeForce RTX 3060 12GB — ₦639,174 (1080p gaming, light video editing)

GPU prices swing with exchange rate and with the catalogue's own margin structure, which was revised in 2026 — these figures are current as of this correction, not a fixed number that holds indefinitely.
Power Supply (PSU)
Never cut corners here. A cheap PSU can destroy every other component:

Given Nigeria's power situation — NEPA surges, generator spikes — a quality PSU with proper protection circuits is even more critical here than elsewhere.
Case + Cooling

- CPU cooler — ₦84,998 (air, stock-replacement tier) to ₦300,002 (360mm AIO, for high-heat Pro-tier builds)
Case fans ship with our cases as standard rather than being priced as a separate line item, so there's no standalone "case fans" figure to quote here — the fan count and airflow layout are part of the case spec itself. For Abuja's climate, prioritise cases with mesh front panels. Solid metal-panel cases trap heat badly.
Operating System + Peripherals
The OS figure below is a Sephora catalogue price like everything above it. The monitor, keyboard/mouse, and UPS figures are sourced from our peripherals catalogue, which we flag as indicative rather than landed-cost-verified pricing — treat those three as directionally accurate, not as precise as the PC components above:
- Windows 11 Home (genuine license) — ₦25,003
- Monitor: 24" Full HD — ₦225,500; 27" panel — ₦307,500 (Full HD) to ₦615,000 (4K); we don't carry an exact 27" 1440p SKU, so expect a price somewhere in that range for one
- Keyboard + mouse combo — ₦59,040 (wired) to ₦118,080 (wireless)
- UPS (essential) — ₦137,760 for our smallest unit (650VA); nothing smaller is stocked

These are meaningfully higher than what this page stated before this correction — the previous figures were stale, not a reflection of a market crash in the other direction. If a quote you've seen elsewhere for a comparable spec looks close to the old numbers on this page, that's a sign it's using outdated pricing too, not that we've overcorrected.
Labour and Assembly
A reputable custom builder's assembly, cable management, Windows installation, and testing is worth every naira — poor assembly causes overheating, instability, and voided component warranties. Ask what's included: you want at minimum assembly, cable management, stress testing, and Windows clean install. Our Recommendation
The comparison this section originally drew — "above ₦400,000, go custom" — no longer means anything: even our most basic real build today runs past ₦1.35 million, so every tier on this page clears that old threshold by a wide margin. The actual recommendation stands on its own regardless of a specific crossover number: for any build at these prices, a custom builder who shows you every component receipt and stands behind the warranty is worth the conversation, because the gap between "built correctly" and "built cheaply" only gets more expensive to fix after the fact as the build itself gets more expensive.
For laptops, basic office machines, or truly urgent purchases: buy from an authorised reseller, not a market stall, and verify the warranty before you hand over cash.
The worst outcome at these prices is spending well over a million naira on something that starts failing in eight months with no one willing to fix it. The second-worst is buying a machine that never performs like its spec sheet claimed.
